One of the many varying reasons I've been somewhat absent recently This is my Principles of Design class assignment that I've been working on for the past few weeks, and had to submit on monday. Some stuff has been going on lately, so I had to apply for special consideration to get an extention until tuesday.
Anyway, this is the EF-35B "Thunder", my take on the F-35B Lightning II, an electronic warfare varient of the plane. Our assignment was first to do a one thousand word essay about an "industrial" product, so I chose the F-35 [because I wanted to be different; most everyone were doing iPods and phones XD] as my subject.
Part two of the assignment was doing a redesign of the thing we chose and do up a poster of it in Illustrator; those of you who know what the original looks like will be able to tell the difference straight away.
Anyhoo,
F-35 Lightning series, Lockheed Martin logo, and all related trademarks belong to the Lockheed Martin corporation. Only the color has been changed to prevent an investigation.
Image by me, the fox that rocks your socks. AKA Jade.
Yup, a chemical laser designed to ignite tank armor or something like that. But, the logistics of getting a laser to fire from 10,000 feet and maintain enough power to do damage at ground level....lets just say lasers are not suited to firing at ground things. Atmospheric lensing makes it impractical.

In all honesty? I think your rose tinted glasses are cracked.
<3 thank you so much for making this! I absolutely hate the EA-6B, and this would be a perfect replacement! I do have to say, though, that I had thought the A variant would be more suited, as it would be capable of holding more equipment without having to have the lift fan. Either way, awesome work!
