Pushing The Limits of Reality by FoxGirlJade Pushing The Limits of Reality by FoxGirlJade
Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting anything decent for awhile ^^;

Anyway, this is another re-make of my infamous "We brake for no-one" pic...I liked the results of the last version I posted; so I went ahead and made up this one. I wanted this one to have a less aggressive 'feel' to it, so I removed the torpedo effects and changed the name. I've also updated the scene lighting, engine glows, added lights to the ship, and I have a whole new Slipstream effect...y'all like it? ^^

Anyhoo, as always let me know what you think ^^

I rendered up two different versions of this pic... "Pushing the limits of reality" and "We brake for no-one [version 3]", which you can see at in the public gallery at TrekMeshes. [link]

Credits are on the picture.

I love your new slipstream effect!
But I think I liked the way the ship previously looked. Its almost...a little washed out.

so in the slipstream the nacelles turn green?

Perhaps the quantum slipstream drive was Borg salvage?
That would explain green warp plasma in the nacelles.

Ya, it's something to do with the drive plasma or something technobabbly like that :P

Awesome picture. =) Just love the Excalibur. There are other Excalibur pictures out there but I like the way that you bring the sleekness of the ship out! Even without torpedoes effect (which I am still trying to learn) the ship still looks... fast. ;)

For some reason, I can imagine the Doctor Who theme song playing in the background.

That's one damn fine pic. Only problem is the glaring mesh error with the slipstream on the right side. That aside, it's absolutely perfect!

Looks like it's traveling through a slipstream vortex, much like Voyager briefly did a couple times.

I nearly fell over when I saw this! 'Tis AWESOME!
The only thing that I can really 'critique' would be that the tunnel looks a bit flat.

Reflective surfaces near the front of the ship are astounding, but for the purpose of critique, it would look better if also applied to the back, over the boom connecting the port nacelle, as well as the nacelle clasps.

Simply the appearance of it, where it seems more metallic. The nacelle and boom appear a bit plastic/grainy in contrast.

looks great! I like this one better than the other one.
I think you could use a slightly wider glow on the engine parts
as it moves through warp.
